Black & Greys
We have a range of chemical-free, colour fast cellulose materials to create realistic burnt, charred effects and falling ash, dust and debris. BlackFX and GreyFX can be used alone of combined to make a wide range of effects from fine dust to coarse debris. We use a wax with colour fast dye to create burnt enamel, paint and metal. GreyFX is available as a fire resistant material. The materials are safe and staine - free to use on outdoor locations and studio and out team sweeps up and washes them away at the enf. Any remnants are bio- degradable. We also carry Foss, a plastic based flake in medium and fine size in grey and black that provides and unbelievable effect for falling ash on camera.

Black FX - Fine ( Chemical Free)
Case Study
A fine layer of black fine SnowFX Half size sprayed onto the areas around the impact craters replicates the look of the debris from an explosive. Used on the trees, this paper based environmentally product sticks to vertical surfaces easily and the benefit is that the clean up is simply to wash away with a water hose and to sweep up the ground based product for disposal. Safe to use on trees and plants and soil.

Greycel - Fine (Fireproof)
Case Study
Working on location to create burnt and ash effects is difficult as a working environment for cast and crew and poses problems for location scouting where the clean up is difficult. Our SnowFX in black and grey is a colour fast paper product sprayed on at high speed with a fine mist of water mixed in to help it stick to surfaces horizontal and vertical. The product comes in two particle sizes that can achieve different finishes. The fine version Half Size, is perfect for the small black particulate left outside of windows when smoke has escaped out. A mix of the full and half size creates thicker ash layers where materials have been burnt down.

Greycel - Fine (Chemical Free)
A grey cellulose (paper) fibre milled to below 2mm partides. Developed for use in outdoor locations as the paper is totally chemical free so is safe for grass and foliage. If used indoors a fireproof spray is recommended. Used in conjunction with our BlackCel materials GreyCel can be sprinkled over any surface in order to create an extremely realistic burnt out and ash effects. Contains recycled material and 100% biodegradable. 1 4Kg bag can cover 4- 5sqm.

Display Snow Black - Fine
Display Snow Black is a three dimensiona,high quality, anti static, plastic snow used for creating realistic burnt out and ash effects. Used in combination with greyFX and Grey Foss products. Fire rated: B1, in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1. Display snow is non toxic, it does not produce toxiv fumes or black snow in the event of fire. Contains recycled materials and is 100biodegradable after incineration.
